Between 1994 and 2003, David Barbour travelled to Cuba twelve times to document life on the streets in Old Havana. In 1999, he was awarded a mid-career Canada Council Grant to complete the project. In 2000, he exhibited part of the series in a two person exhibition with American photographer Bruce Gilden. In September 2003, he will present a 42 print exhibit at the Ottawa School of Art.
